Senior Credit Analyst — Equipment Finance

Portsmouth, NH Remote Available Credit Team 5+ Years Experience

ElmBlue is one of the fastest-growing equipment finance companies in the industry. We're adding a Senior Credit Analyst to our credit team to underwrite deals, support our sales team, help shape our portfolio for capital partners, and mentor our analysts.

You'll report to the Director of Credit. We prefer candidates in the Portsmouth, NH area, with remote flexibility after onboarding. We will consider fully remote candidates who are an exceptional fit with equipment finance underwriting experience.

The Role

What you'll do

  • Underwrite and approve equipment finance requests up to $400K within your credit authority, and escalate larger or more complex deals with a clear recommendation
  • Analyze transaction details, financial statements, bureau data, and supporting documents to judge repayment capacity and collateral
  • Work with sales to structure deals that fit our credit standards and keep them moving through approval and funding
  • Write concise credit memos that name the strengths, weaknesses, and mitigating factors
  • Help package portfolios of ElmBlue-originated deals for lender and investor partners, aligning portfolio characteristics with partner credit boxes and appetite
  • Prepare portfolio data and performance summaries for capital partners
  • Mentor and guide our credit analysts on analysis, structuring, and presentation
  • Keep your pipeline and records accurate in our internal systems
  • Help improve our underwriting standards, portfolio reporting, and credit workflows

Qualifications

What we're looking for

Required

  • 5+ years of credit experience in equipment finance
  • Strong financial analysis skills and sound judgment when information is incomplete
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including with sales and external partners
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • A collaborative, self-motivated, results-oriented mindset
  • A bachelor's degree, or equivalent professional experience

A Plus

  • Familiarity with portfolio analysis, lender or investor credit boxes, or capital markets
  • Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM
